A numberplate, No 62055, 1948, from a (LNER) K1 Class 2-6-0 built by the North British Locomotive Co, Works No 26659, and allocated new to March in November 1949. It moved in March 1962 to Doncaster from where it was withdrawn in December 1964 and sold for scrap to Hughes Bolckow at Blyth. Engraved brass, 12¼"x6½", the front lightly polished. (Postage Band: C)
