A nameplate, HONOURABLE ARTILLERY COMPANY, from the LMS Royal Scot Class 4-6-0 No 6144 built by the North British Locomotive Co, Works No 23639, in October 1927 and named Ostrich by April 1928 after an 1842 locomotive built by the Liverpool & Manchester Railway. It was renamed in January 1933 after the famous London territorial regiment and was rebuilt with tapered boiler in June 1945, becoming BR 46144. It spent most of its later years at Edge Hill and Camden, moving towards the end to Crewe North from where it was withdrawn in the week ending 11 January 1964 and cut up at Crewe Works. The plate is cast brass, length 52½", the crest 11" diameter. It is mounted on a purpose-built free-standing splasher with a small brass plate describing the history of the locomotive. The mounting is contemporary with the withdrawal of 46144.
