A smokebox numberplate, 4936, from a GWR 4900 Hall Class 4-6-0 built at Swindon in June 1929 and named KINLET HALL after the 18th Century mansion near Bewdley. Its BR sheds were Truro, Laira, Newton Abbot, Cardiff Canton and Cardiff East Dock from where it was withdrawn in the week ending 25 January 1964 and sold for scrap to Woodhams at Barry. Rescued for preservation, it has seen service on several heritage railways and is based at Tyseley, currently under overhaul. Repainted. (Postage Band: D)
