A worksplate SUPER-SENTINEL steam waggon No 5287. From a 6-ton waggon new in March 1924 to Albert Wilkins of Leeds, registration NW 6199. Later with Yorkshire Paper Mills Ltd, Barnsley. Last licensed for road use in November 1930. During the first year of production worksplates on Super-Sentinel waggons had the central trademark emblem engraved, after which it was changed to the embossed style, so this is an early survivor. Cast brass, 5"x9¾", the front lightly cleaned but unpainted. (Postage Band: B)
