A smokebox numberplate, 32553, from a London Brighton & South Coast Railway C2 Class 0-6-0 No 553 built by Vulcan Foundry, Works No 1825, in February 1902 and rebuilt and re-classified to C2X in October 1908. Its BR sheds were Three Bridges and Bricklayers Arms with brief spells at the end at Redhill and back to Three Bridges from where it was withdrawn in August 1961 and cut up at Ashford Works the following month. Ex loco condition. (Postage Band: D)
