A worksplate GREAT NORTHERN Ry Co, No 1281, MAKERS, 1910, DONCASTER WORKS, from a GNR Ivatt Class C1 4-4-2 Atlantic No 1457 new in October 1910, renumbered 4457 in 1924 and allocated the number 2887 under the 1946 renumbering scheme although not actually renumbered before the loco was withdrawn in March 1946 and subsequently scrapped. Fully engraved brass, 17¼"x9½", the front polished, the back stamped 1457 in two places. (Postage Band: D)
