A worksplate, LONDON & NORTH EASTERN RAILWAY, 62744, Darlington Works, 1932, from a LNER D49 Hunt Class 4-4-0 No 273 named THE HOLDERNESS after the foxhunt which operated in the Beverley, Driffield and Market Weighton areas, renumbered 2744 in 1946, becoming BR 62744. Allocated to York by 1948, it moved to Scotland in 1952, shedded first at Dundee and later Thornton Junction and Hawick from where it was withdrawn in December 1960 and cut up at Cowlairs Works. Cast brass, 9"x5", ex loco condition. (Postage Band: C)
