A worksplate, ANDREW BARCLAY REBUILT 1946, from an 0-4-0ST built by Barclay, Works No 688, in 1891, and new to Clyde Navigation Trust, Glasgow, then in February 1897 to J.Best, Contractor for the new dock contract at Leith and to Vickers at Elswick Works, Newcastle-upon-Tyne in July 1912. To Steetly Lime & Basic Co Ltd at Coxhoe, Co Durham in 1924 where it was numbered 15 and rebuilt by Barclay in 1946. To T. W. Ward at Haswell for scrap in December 1959. Cast brass, 9¼"x5", the front repainted. (Note: We sold a worksplate and numberplate from this engine in our March 2023 Sale) (Postage Band: B)
