A worksplate, GREAT NORTHERN RAILWAY Co, BUILT DONCASTER, No 1283, 1910, from a GNR Class C1 4-4-2 Ivatt Atlantic No 1459, becoming LNER 4459. It spent its whole working life allocated to Kings Cross from where it was withdrawn in July 1943 and cut up at Doncaster Works. Fully engraved brass, 17¼"x9½", the front lightly polished, the back marked with the loco numbers. (Postage Band: C)
