A GWR signal box nameboard, STOW-ON-THE-WOLD, from the Banbury to Cheltenham route, this section closing in 1964. The station ceased to be a block post in 19XX. It has been suggested that the right end reading 'signal box' was removed at this time and a section of wood added to simulate a border, Cast iron, length 64½" This Lot is accompanied by a photograph of the nameboard in situ.
