A worksplate, NORTH BRITISH LOCOMOTIVE Co, QUEENS PARK, 23670, 1927, from a LMS Class 4F 0-6-0 No 4501 which became BR 44501. It spent most of its BR days at Derby and Heaton Mersey with brief spells at the end at Rowsley and Coalville from where it was withdrawn in December 1964 and sold for scrap to Cashmores at Great Bridge. Cast brass, 15¼"x6¼", the front repainted. This later batch of QP numbers had larger plates than earlier examples, similar to those fitted GWR pannier tanks. (Postage Band: B)
