A locomotive nameplate, LOCH LONG, from a LNER Gresley K4 Class 2-6-0 No 3441 built at Darlington in January 1937, renumbered 1993 in 1946, becoming BR 61993, the first of a class of six 3-cylinder engines built specifically for use on the West Highland line without the need for double heading. It spent most of its working life at Eastfield until moving in April 1959 to Thornton Junction from where it was withdrawn in October 1961 and scrapped at Holbeth Wagon Works at Dunfermline.
