A builder's plate, METROPOLITAN-CAMMELL CARRIAGE & WAGON CO LD, SALTLEY WORKS, BIRMINGHAM, 1937, as fitted to the entrance step of a carriage. Cast brass, 22½x3½", the front cleaned but unpainted, the back marked 1808 TE, TS. The plate is from a vehicle exported to the South African Railways. (Postage Band: C)
