A locomotive nameplate, MELISANDE, with KING ARTHUR CLASS appendage below, from a Southern Railway N15 Class 4-6-0 No 753 built at Eastleigh Works in January 1923 and named after the lover of Sir Pelleas in Arthurian legend, becoming BR 30753. It spent most of its early BR years at Nine Elms with a final five years at Basingstoke from where it was withdrawn in March 1957 and cut up at Eastleigh Works.
