A worksplate, L&NER, 1995, DONCASTER WORKS, 1937, from a LNER K4 Class 2-6-0 No 3443 named CAMERON OF LOCHEIL after the Clan chief, renumbered 1995 in 1946, becoming BR 61995. It spent almost all its working life at Fort William and later Eastfield, a regular performer on the West Highland line at both sheds. It left in 1959 to Thornton Junction from where it was withdrawn in October 1961 and cut up at Townhill (Dunfermline). Cast brass, 9"x5", the front repainted. Note: Although the number is correct the loco was actually built at Darlington and not Doncaster, a typical error by Cowlairs Works where the plate was almost certainly cast. (Postage Band: B)
