A GWR cabside numberplate, 1470, from a Collett 0-4-2T No 4870 built at Swindon in April 1936 and renumbered 1470 in 1946 when 48 series numbers were needed for 2-8-0 tender engines equipped for oil burning. It spent most of its BR days at Newton Abbot with a final spell at Exeter from where it was withdrawn in October 1962 and sold for scrap to Cashmores at Newport. Cast brass, ex loco condition.
