A nameplate, BILSTHORPE No 1 from Hawthorn Leslie 3614 of 1925, a standard gauge 0-6-0 saddle tank new to the Stanton Ironworks Co Ltd. for use at Bilsthorpe Colliery, Nottinghamshire. Passed to the National Coal Board with the colliery in 1947 and scrapped on site at Bilsthorpe between August 1969 and June 1970. Cast brass, length 55", the front repainted. (Postage Band: D)
