A Glasgow and South Western Railway wight driven long case clock, with pine case, used at Cumnock station booking office on the Glasgow to Carlisle main line. The original face written, J & W Mitchell, GLASGOW, THE PROPERTY OF THE GLASGOW & SOUTH WESTERN RAILWAY COY. The clock is accompanied by all its purchase correspondence dated 1966 when it was sold for £3 with an additional £1 12s paid to deliver to Dundee Tay Bridge station. The clock was serviced and restored in 1997, receipt included, and is accompanied by the vendor's notes on mounting, maintenance and winding. The weight, pendulum, bob and winder are present and the clock is in working order. (Dispatch by Mailboxes/Collect from Banbury Depot)
