A worksplate, ROBERT STEPHENSON HAWTHORNS, 7513, 1950, from a Gresley L1 Class 2-6-4T, 67779, which entered traffic at Neasden in February 1950. It moved to Kings Cross in 1954 and finished its days at Colwick from where it was withdrawn in December 1962 and cut up at Darlington Works. Engraved brass, 11½"x5½", the front lightly polished.
