A worksplate, LONDON & NORTH EASTERN RAILWAY, NEILSON REID, 6915, 1899, from a Great North of Scotland Railway Class V, LNER D40 Class 4-4-0, No 115 built by Neilson Reid, Works No 5604, in October 1899, renumbered 6915 in 1924 and 2264 in 1946, becoming BR 62264. Although the engine number has been ground down it is still clearly legible and there is no evidence of a renumbering strip being fitted. Cast brass, 9"x5", cleaned but unpainted. (Postage Band: C)
