A GWR cabside numberplate, 7247, from a 7200 Class 2-8-2T rebuilt at Swindon in September 1938 from a 4200 Class 2-8-0T No 4244 built at Swindon in February 1916. After spending its early BR days at Ebbw Junction, it moved to Oxley and then Banbury, one of only a handful of the class allocated away from South Wales, before finishing its days at Aberdare from where it was withdrawn on 22 March 1963 and sold for scrap to Cashmores at Newport.
