A worksplate, ENGLISH ELECTRIC/VULCAN FOUNDRY, 3799/D1170, 1968, from a BR Class 50 No D429, renumbered 50029 in March 1974 and named RENOWN between November 1978 and March 1991. Allocated new to LM Stoke Division in July 1968, it was withdrawn from Laira in March 1991 and saved for preservation, currently at Peak Rail awaiting restoration. Chromed cast brass, 10¼"x4½", superb ex loco condition with BR blue paintwork on the edges. (Postage Band: C)
