A worksplate, LONDON & NORTH EASTERN RAILWAY, 60814, DARLINGTON WORKS, 1937, from a LNER V2 Class 2-6-2 No 4785 built at Darlington in October 1937, renumbered 714 and then 814 in 1946, becoming BR 60814. It spent most of its BR days at Kings Cross with brief spells at St Margarets and Grantham from where it was withdrawn on 19 April 1963 and cut up at Doncaster Works. Cast brass, 9"x5", the front lightly cleaned, the LNER initials polished down. (Postage Band: B)
