A nameplate ELIZABETH from a standard gauge 0-6-0 side tank built by Hudswell Clarke & Co of Leeds, No 1600 of 1927. New to H. Briggs Son & Co Ltd. Water Haigh Colliery, Woodlesford, Yorkshire West Riding. Taken over by the National Coal Board in January 1947 and transferred in April 1970 to the nearby Saville Colliery, Methley. Scrapped there in November 1971. Cast brass, 35¼"x6¾", the front repainted. (Postage Band: D)
