A smokebox numberplate, 90125, from a War Department Austerity 2-8-0 built by the North British Locomotive Co, Works No 24999, in 1943 to Ministry of Supply order. It initially entered traffic as WD 77028 at York before going overseas in 1945 to work on Nederlands Railways as No NS 4322. On its return to the UK it was allocated to Oxley although reported at Motherwell. At nationalisation it was still an Oxley engine and was later allocated to Ebbw Junction, Cardiff Canton, Warrington, Aintree, Kirkby and Lostock Hall from where it was withdrawn in June 1965 and sold for scrap to Cashmores at Great Bridge. The front repainted. A BR(W) style casting with a flat back. (Postage Band: D)
