A smokebox numberplate, 90529, from a War Department Austerity 2-8-0 built by Vulcan Foundry, Works No 4874, in June 1943 to Ministry of Supply order, WD No 77058. Loaned new to the LNER and SR, it was purchased by the LNER in November 1947 and allocated to Mexborough, becoming BR 90538. the following year. Its later sheds were Doncaster, March and Immingham, returning at the end to Doncaster from where it was withdrawn on 17 April 1966 and cut up by Drapers at Hull in the week ending 8 October 1966.
