A worksplate, MAVAG, 7502, 1957, from an Indian Railways metre gauge YL Class 2-6-2 No 5103. The main locomotive builder in Hungary, Mavag was contracted to build forty metre gauge light 2-6-2s for Indian Railways and these were fitted with what are believed to be the only English language Mavag plates produced. These were almost the last steam engines built by Mavag. Cast aluminium, 15"x7¼", the front cleaned but unpainted. (Postage Band: B)
