A Scottish North Eastern Railway badge, SNER, with thistle decoration, 3½"x1¾", either for a cap or bandolier. The SNER was founded in 1856, an amalgamation of the Scottish Midland Junction and Aberdeen Railways. It was absorbed by the Caledonian in 1866. (Postage Band: B)
