Worksplate, (LMS) BUILT 1943, GWR, from a LMS Stanier type 8F 2-8-0 built to Railway Executive Committee order by the GWR at Swindon. Those built at Swindon in 1943 were Nos 8400-26 which became BR 48400-26. Cast brass, 10½"x6", ex loco condition, the LMS initials ground off.
