A worksplate, L.N.E.R., 2801, 1928, from a B17 Class 4-6-0 built by the North British Locomotive Co, Works No 23804, which entered traffic in December 1928 at Stratford, named HOLKHAM after the mansion on the north Norfolk coast. It was renumbered 1601 in 1946, becoming BR 61601, and spent most of its BR days at Ipswich and Stratford from where it was withdrawn in January 1958 and cut up at Doncaster Works. Cast brass, 9"x5", ex loco condition. (Postage Band: C)
