A worksplate, LONDON & NORTH EASTERN RAILWAY 1241 Darlington 1909, from a North Eastern Railway Class D21 4-4-0 No 1241 withdrawn from Starbeck in March 1943. The engine and a spare NE type tender sent to Fishguard via Banbury for air target practice, returning to Darlington in July 1943 and cut up there in July 1944.
