A worksplate, GREAT NORTHERN RAILWAY, 1517, DONCASTER, 1920, from a GNR H4 Class 2-6-0 No 1004, later LNER K3 Class 4004, renumbered 1805 in 1946, becoming BR 61805. It entered traffic at Doncaster in December 1920 and its BR sheds were March, Stratford and New England from where it was withdrawn in September 1962 and cut up at Doncaster Works. Fully engraved brass, 12½"x7½", the front lightly polished, the back stamped 4004. (Postage Band: C)
