A GWR cabside numberplate, GWR 349, from a Taff Vale Railway Caneron Class A 0-6-2T built by Vulcan Foundry, Works No 3494, in 1921, TVR No 90. When the Company was absorbed by the GWR in 1922 it became GWR 349. Its BR sheds were Pontypool Road, Cardiff Canton, Cardiff East Dock, Barry and Abercynon from where it was withdrawn in March 1957 and cut up at Swindon Works. Cast iron, an area of loss to the left side, replaced and the plate repainted. (Dispatch by Mailboxes/Collect from Banbury Depot)
