A worksplate, GREAT CENTRAL RAILWAY, GORTON, 1921, from a GCR Class 8N, LNER B6 Class, 4-6-0, a class of only three engines of which two, Nos 52 and 53, were built in 1921, becoming LNER 5052 and 5053. They were allotted numbers 1329 and 1330 under the 1946 renumbering scheme but were eventually given the numbers 1347 and 1348. Both were withdrawn from Ardsley in December 1947. Cast brass, 10½"x6¾", the front repainted. (Postage Band: C)
