A worksplate, LONDON & NORTH EASTERN RAILWAY, 67651, DONCASTER, 1935, from a LNER V1 Class 2-6-2T No 422 built at Doncaster, Works No 1827, renumbered 7651 in 1946, becoming BR 67651 and converted with a higher boiler pressure and re-classified to V3 in May 1956. Allocated new in January 1936 to Heaton where it spent all its working life until moving in June 1963 to Gateshead from where it was withdrawn in May 1964 and sold for scrap to Hughes Bolckow at Blyth. Cast brass, 9"x5", the front cleaned but unpainted. (Postage Band: B)
