A worksplate, THE HUNSLET ENGINE COMPANY No 2375 of 1942. From a standard gauge 0-6-0 saddle tank new to South Kirkby, Featherstone and Hemsworth Collieries Ltd, South Kirkby Colliery, near Pontefract, Yorkshire West Riding. Named JOHN SHAW. Became National Coal Board property with the mine in January 1947. Scrapped on site by Thos. W. Ward Ltd, January 1972. Cast brass, 11½"x8", ex loco condition. (Postage Band: B)
