A smokebox numberplate, 54482, from a Caledonian Railway 72 Class, BR Class 3P, 4-4-0, CR No 77, LMS 14482, becoming BR 54482. It was at St Rollox by January 1935 and later Perth, Inverness, Forres and Aviemore from where it was withdrawn on 12 March 1962 and sold for scrap to West of Scotland Shipbreaking at Troon. The plate is in ex loco condition with red paintwork, a BR weld visible only on the back. (Postage Band: D)
