A worksplate, LONDON & NORTH EASTERN RAILWAY, 62724, DARLINGTON, 1928, from a LNER D49 Shire Class 4-4-0 No 335 BEDFORDSHIRE, renumbered 2724, becoming 62724. It spent most of its working life at Hull Botanic Gardens from where it was withdrawn in December 1957 and subsequently scrapped. Cast brass, 9"x5", the front lightly cleaned but unpainted.
