A worksplate, GREAT NORTHERN RAILWAY, 1468, DONCASTER, 1916, from a GNR Class H3, LNER K2 Class 2-6-0 No 4653 built at Doncaster in June 1916, renumbered 1743 in 1946, becoming BR 61743. Its BR sheds were South Lynn, March, Lincoln and Boston from where it was withdrawn in June 1959 and sold for scrap to Motherwell Machinery & Scrap at Wishaw. Fully engraved brass, 12¼"x7½", unpolished, the back stamped 4653. (Postage Band: C)
