A mounted coat of arms, EAST LANCASHIRE RAILWAY. The company was formed in 1844 and became part of the Lancashire and Yorkshire Railway in 1859. This rare coat of arms was hand-painted at Wolverton Works in 1953 for George Dow as original transfers were not known to exist. Overall size 20"x20".
