A worksplate, LONDON & NORTH EASTERN RAILWAY, 5910, DARLINGTON, 1926, from a LNER J38 Class 0-6-0 built at Darlington, Works No 1411, March 1926, renumbered 5910 in 1946, becoming BR 65910. A long time Thornton Junction engine from where it was withdrawn in July 1966 and sold for scrap to GH Campbell at Airdrie. Cast iron, 9"x5", the front repainted, the renumbering strip glued to the plate. (Postage Band: C)
