A worksplate, YORKSHIRE ENGINE Co Ltd, 2863 of 1962. From a standard gauge 0-6-0 Janus class diesel electric locomotive new to Appleby-Frodingham Steel Co, Frodingham Iron & Steelworks, Lincolnshire. Running number 6. Passed to the British Steel Corporation with the site 28th July 1967. Scrapped in March 1983. Cast brass, 11"x6", the front lightly polished. (Postage Band: B)
