A worksplate, HUDSWELL CLARKE, REBUILT 1922. From Hudswell Clarke 276 of 1885, a standard gauge 0-4-0ST delivered new to Charrington & Co Ltd, Abbey Brewery, Burton-on-Trent. Sold back to Hudswell Clarke in 1921 and rebuilt by them in 1922. Sold in May that year to the Taff Fechan Water Supply Board for use on the construction of Pontsticill reservoir, Brecknockshire, where it was named TAFF FECHAN. Sold around July 1928 to Rossett Sand & Gravels Ltd, Flint where it was named PAT. By October 1936 it was with Cudworth & Johnson, dealers and hirers of Wrexham. Used briefly as a hire locomotive until sold around December 1937 to R. Briggs & Sons Ltd, for use at their limestone quarry at Chatburn, Lancashire. Scrapped there circa 1949. Cast brass, 13"x8¼", the front lightly polished. (Postage Band: C)
