A smokebox numberplate, 61223, from a LNER B1 Class 4-6-0 No 1223 built by the North British Locomotive Co, Works No 26124, in August 1947. Allocated new to Leicester GC, its later sheds included Gorton, Cambridge, Lowestoft, Lincoln and Immingham from where it was withdrawn in January 1966 and sold for scrap to Garnham, Harris and Elton of Chesterfield.
