A worksplate, LONDON NORTH EASTERN RAILWAY, DARLINGTON, 1972, 1945, from a Stanier type 8F 2-8-0 built to LNER order, their Class O6 No 3130, 3530 from February 1947, transferred on loan to the LMS in October 1947 and taken into LMS stock as 8735, becoming BR 48735. It spent most of its BR days at Swansea Victoria and Llanelly, finishing its days at Northwich from where it was withdrawn in October 1967 and sold for scrap to Buttigiegs at Newport. Fully engraved brass, 13¼"x8", the face lightly polished. (Postage Band: C)
