A worksplate, ANDREW BARCLAY SON & Co, ENGINEERS KILMARNOCK N.B, No 688 1891, together with its numberplate, 15, from an 0-4-0ST new to Clyde Navigation Trust, Glasgow, then in February 1897 to J.Best, Contractor for the new dock contract at Leith and to Vickers at Elswick Works, Newcastle-upon-Tyne in July 1912. To Steetly Lime & Basic Co Ltd at Coxhoe, Co Durham in 1924 where it was numbered 15 and rebuilt by Barclay in 1946. To T. W. Ward at Haswell for scrap in December 1959. The worksplate is an early example including the word SON, illustrated in Buckle and Love's book on page 13. The worksplate 17"x7½", the numberplate 13½"x6", each cast brass, the front repainted.
