A worksplate, LONDON & NORTH EASTERN RAILWAY, 2785, BUILT STRATFORD WORKS, 1895, from a Great Eastern Railway 2-4-0 No 490 built at Stratford in January 1895. It became LNER E4 Class 2-4-0 No 7490 and was renumbered 7802 in 1942 and 2785 in 1946, becoming BR 62785. Its BR sheds were Bury St Edmunds, Hitchin and Cambridge from where it was withdrawn on 7 December 1959. It was preserved as part of the National Railway Museum collection and is currently on static display at Bressingham Steam Museum. Cast brass, 9"x5", the front repainted. (Postage Band: B)
