A smokebox numberplate, 47324, from a LMS Class 3F No 16407 built by the North British Locomotive Co, Works No 23403, in 1926, renumbered 7324 in 1934, becoming BR 47324. A long time Birkenhead engine, it was withdrawn from there in December 1966 and sold for scrap to Woodham Bros at Barry Docks. Saved for preservation, it is currently operational on the East Lancs Railway in various guises. Ex loco condition. (Postage Band: D)
