A worksplate, NORTH BRITISH LOCOMOTIVE Co, 25173, 1943, from a War Department Austerity 2-8-0 built by NBL to Ministry of Supply order in April 1943, WD No 77303. Loaned new to the LNER, returned to the WD in December 1944, and loaned again to the LNER in February 1947. Purchased by BR in December 1949 it became 90220. A long time Mexborough engine, it finished its days at Canklow, Colwick and Langwith Junction from where it was withdrawn in November 1965 and sold for scrap to Drapers at Hull. Cast white brass, 13½"x5½", ex loco condition. (Postage Band: B)
