A GWR cabside numberplate, 4918, from the 4900 Hall Class 4-6-0 built at Swindon in March 1929 and named DARTINGTON HALL after the hall two miles from Totnes in South Devon now a hotel. A much travelled engine, its BR sheds included Chester, Oxley, Bristol Bath Road, Stafford Road, Cardiff Canton and Cardiff East Dock from where it was withdrawn in June 1963 and sold for scrap to Hayes at Bridgend.
